Day 7.

Well, as a lot of you know, I'm moving this weekend. That means we won't be living with Pig's boyfriend Juice any longer. She is heartbroken.

So I know I let you all down but drawing a daily Pig was harder than I had thought! HOWEVER-- we are back and ready for round 2. Monday - Friday, I will do my best to provide you with a Pig masterpiece. The weekends probably won't happen because I essentially have no time what-so-ever!

Day 36.

I know I know I know. And I am sorry. So drawing pig every day was harder than I thought. I've just been in a slump, ya know? Don't have any good pig inspiration. So today I designed a little monster. After that, I decided he needed a friend. A pig friend.

For those you who did not know, PIG is participating in the Olympics! She and her team of pugs will be participating in the Bobsled event! Pig, I had no idea you were so athletic!

Day 34.

I told you I'd be back! Just in time for Mardi gras! My roommate came home with these huge beads from a bar the other night and we put them around Juice. Juice wasn't thrilled at all but they look cute! So here is Pig in her Mardi gras costume. Behave Pig! We don't want to see you on Pugs Gone Wild!

Ok, short little break from the PIG book for a SNOW DAY! I know I haven't been posting every day lately but I've been actually busy at work! Haha. Anyway, Pig and I played in the snow allll day yesterday! Pig got stuck in the snowman! She loves it!

Okay, so this pic is kind of creeping me out. Pig is obviously not a boy but I suppose this could be her boyfriend....if her father approved, that is....haha.

For those of you who don't keep up with MTV's Jersey Shore show, this may pic may not be as funny as it will be to others! I had to do it though!

Summer Pig! This summer, Pig is going to learn how to lovvveee the pool! Last year we put her in a few times and she wasn't so much a fan. However, we put her on one of those floating mats and she seemed to enjoy it. Maybe she'd enjoy a tube more? haha

Pig's new trick :

Making an opacity mask for a reflection is the best! Font was created by putting a texture over it and then a light overlay.

Day 27.

Anyone that knows me knows I lovvvvvvvve stuffed animals. So does pig. She loves her little piglet stuffed animal from the Disney store (It was my present from someone, but shhhh, we won't tell) But out of all the pigs in the toy store, I only want my Pig!!!

Day 26.

Pig may have remembered her rain boots and umbrella today but I definitely didn't! I don't know if anyone got a chance to walk in this rain yet today but the wind is out of control! Broke my umbrella immediately! I bet Pig is snuggled up with Juice (on my bed, I'm sure) in our cozy warm apartment!

Day 25.

Well, I'm pretty exhausted after last night. Pig decided to pee all over my bed yet again. This time through all the covers, sheets, etc. I slept on a bare mattress w/o covers. So here it is, a little sketch of my apartment and the PIG up to no good as usual. I hope when I get home from work that she took my laundry to the cleaners...if only!

Powwwww! I guess I'm feeling a little angry today?

Little Pig has been misbehaving quite a lot. She is constantly brawling with Juice, the yellow lab. Especially early in the morning. Actually, I wanted to ask any of you pug owners...how do you stop spiteful behavior? Pig has been spitefully going to the bathroom in the house and this morning she peed all over my bed....

She was doing this when I moved apartments last time and it was always spiteful. Now she is at it again. Any help?!?

Retro Pigggggg. I slacked off after a crazy weekend but am making up for my posts! It won't happen again! Haha.

Day 20.

Strike a pose pig! Well, today at work was our Lucky Brand casting (for a model) for market week. Unfortunately, Pig was not chosen. She didn't exactly fill out the bras and the undies were a little snug. Besides, we didn't feel like cutting holes for her tail in every panty. However, we got her a runway gig -- work it! Haha

Work inspired - Thanks again Alexis aka my agent/brainstormer. Pig's panty and bra worn are actual prints that will be in Lucky Brand stores next year!

Day 19.

Well, if this isn't any justification as to how random my thought process is -- I don't know what is. I've gone from butterflies, to subway cars, to sharks and now to vampires. 346 days to go and it is only going to get more random from here on!

Day 18.

Help!!! Sharks are pig's biggest fear! Pig spent the day at the beach. When she got too hot she decided to play in the water for a little bit. Before she knew it she had fallen asleep and drifted miles from shore! Pig woke up surrounded by sharks! They've been circling for hours!

Day 17.

Uh oh Pig, what did you get yourself into now? Pig and her bff Kelvin, took the wrong Path train! They meant to go to the city but ended up in Jamaica Queens! Stop the train!!

Haha, okay, the Path train doesn't go there but Taylor (my bestest, Kelvin's mommy) and I definitely took the wrong train trying to get to NJ and ended up in Jamaica Queens. Like mother like daughter I guessss.

Day 16.

Curious Pig on a nice spring day. We both can't wait until this cold weather is over and spring is here! And that also means -- our birthdays!

This drawing makes me think of my brother who would say, "hello, flat face" when looking at Pig from the profile view. Tis true! Pugs are missing that snout!

Day 14.

Two weeks! Only 351 days to go! Thanks everyone for following! I get a little more excited every time I see the number go up!

Anyway, I love this entry...might be my favorite so far! We put Pig on top of my friend Tommy's motorcycle and she literally just stood there like that for 5 minutes. It must be a dream of her one day to ride one..hmmmmmm.

Day 13.

Almost at my 2 week mark! Can I keep it up!?! Hopefully.....

I don't know where the inspiration came from for this one. Most of my drawings are done at 8am -- too early know what I'm actually thinking. But I wanted to do something in Photoshop as opposed to Illustrator.

Pig's new trick : This was drawn in illustrator first. The roses, Pig, etc. I brought it into Photoshop and used the Dodge and Burn tool which allows you to make areas lighter (dodge) and darker (burn). Its a great tool. If I was a little more of an expert in Photoshop, there would probably be a faster/better way to do this--but I'm not. But hey, that's what this blog is for. Perhaps on my 200th post I'll be a master. The bottom image is what I drew in Illustrator....the top photo is the end result, obviously.

Day 12.

Pig and the Tramp.

Ok ok, so he's definitely not a tramp. Introducing Juice -- Pig's roommate/lover. A big, goofy, yellow lab. I recently moved from NYC to Hoboken and was fortunate enough to move into an apartment with another dog! The two of them are so cute together. They play non-stop and I have often caught them sleeping in my bed together. Aw, true puppy love.

Don't worry, all that bone burying was not done by Pig but by her evil cousin Bella-roo (sorry Bella, but you're scary). You can see Kujo guarding her bones from afar.


Pig's new trick:

Effect --> 3D --> Extrude & Bevel/Revolve. Awesome way to make thinks look 3D in Illustrator. It is used in almost every aspect of this drawing - fence, bones, doghouse, etc.

Pig and I are OVER this blustery cold weather! Where is spring?!

And there we are. Da pug and I. I'm chillin' on the imaginary couch I have in my living room(we're still yet to purchase one for our living room -- its okay.baby steps)

And that is what pug would look like if she actually slept in her dog bed instead of using my bed as one.
